Fees are calculated on a weekly basis and charged monthly. Private fees include all meals, drinks, nappies, nursery bags, sunscreen, and use of waterproofs (with the exception of formula feeds). The daily rate applies regardless of the hours a child attends in a day.
Admissions Policy
Children are admitted to the nursery on a ‘first come, first served’ basis subject to availability and the prevailing age structure within the nursery. We make no distinction between sex, colour, race, religion, and/or special needs, and we adopt equal opportunities policies in respect of all children as a matter of course.
We have no minimum session attendance requirement, but we reserve the right to select the day for those requiring only one day attendance.
Closed days
The nursery is closed on all bank holidays and on the days between Christmas and New Year. A fee reduction for those children who normally attend on these days will be made for the month in question.
Payment
All fees to be paid monthly in advance. Direct debits will be collected on the first working day of each month. We accept payment by Tax-free Childcare or Childcare Vouchers providing that they reach our bank during the first week of the month
Retainer payment
We ask for a retainer payment of £200 to be made on registration. Payment will secure a place and is used against the first month/s fees. It is fully refundable should the place no longer be available for any reason. If, however, a place is cancelled by a parent prior to taking it up, it is non-refundable.
Family Discount
A 20% reduction on the eldest child’s private fees is available for families, and a 10% discount is provided for the second child of a family of three (not applied to additional services charge).
Non-attendance
Due to staff commitments, no reduction in the monthly fee is allowed for non-attendance due to holidays or illness.
Meals
Each child has a snack in the morning, a home cooked meal at midday, and tea in the afternoon. Vegetarian meals are available and we are able to cater for a variety of dietary needs.
Tax-free Childcare
We are registered for Tax-free Childcare. Those parents who are eligible for the funding are also able to use Tax-free Childcare, which offers up to £2,000 a year per child towards the cost of childcare.
Woodgreen Day Nursery funding
We are registered for Nursery Education Funding. Eligible children from the term after they are 9 months old can access up to 30 hours of funding. All children from the term following their third birthday are entitled to 15 universal funded hours, with an additional 15 extended funded hours for those eligible. The funding covers 38 weeks a year. As we do not offer term time only places, the funding is stretched over 12 months (50 weeks). This equates to 1140 hours a year for the full entitlement which is approximately 22.8 hours a week, and 11.4 hours for those only entitled to the 15 hours universal funding.

For those children attending one or two days a week and who do not attend any other setting, the funding will cover the fees over the 12 months. Private hours for those attending three days or more, shall be charged at the hourly rate.
Additional Services Charge
Government funding is designed to deliver funded high-quality childcare. Official guidance says: ‘It is not intended to cover the costs of meals, other consumables, additional hours or additional services”. An additional services charge is therefore applied to the days a child receives funding to cover food (morning snack, two-course lunch, tea and milk) and consumables (nappies, creams, waterproofs etc.):

The additional services charge is not mandatory, and children are able to benefit from a free place if required. However, parents would be required to provide any resources needed to participate in activities, all snacks and meals, and all consumables. Please contact the nursery directly for more details.
