At Woodgreen we understand the importance of building trusting relaxed and confident relationships with our parents and carers. Our enthusiastic team is fully qualified, committed, caring and experienced in childcare.

Our policy is that staff members must hold a minimum NVQ Level 3 certificate in Early Years Education. Several members are qualified to Level 6 while others are university graduates with degrees related to Childcare and Early Years practice. All team members also hold current certificates in Pediatric First Aid, Food Hygiene and Safeguarding and are actively encouraged to take additional specialist training as part of their professional development.

The nursery is owned by Mary Tee B.A. Cert Ed., who has a long and established reputation for high quality childcare. She opened Woodgreen in 1994 after a career in Early Years Teaching. Mary spent a number of years as a Trustee and Board Member of the NDNA, a national charity which aims to promote excellence in Early Years.

Mary is ably supported by a highly experienced Senior Management Team who, together with the Nursery Director, Megan Williams BSC (Hons), have the enviable record of sharing 61 years working at Woodgreen.
